Report at the annual conference arranged by Mykolas Romeris University’s Law Faculty Alumni Association and participation in the discussion “Regulation of professional activities of legal professions – advocacy, notariat, and bailiffs”
The president of the Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries, the administrator of Klaipeda City 1st Notary Office, the notary Marius Stračkaitis on May 11 delivered a report at the annual conference arranged by Mykolas Romeris University’s Law Faculty Alumni Association and participated in the discussion “Regulation of professional activities of legal professions – advocacy, notariat, and bailiffs”, where development and future of professional activities of advocacy, notariat, and bailiffs was discussed. The minister of Justice Remigijus Simasius, the chairman of the Council of the Lithuanian Bar Association Leonas Virginijus Papirtis, the member of the Presidium of the Bailiffs Chamber Valdas Ceglikas, law history scientist Dr. Gintaras Sapoka spoke at the conference. M. Stračkaitis in his report has presented a review of relationship of roles of state and notaries’ municipal institutions by regulating activities of this profession, requirements for persons seeking to become notaries, regulation of traineeship of a notary (assessor) candidate, regulation of tariffs for notary’s services, creation of e-notariat system, and other matters.
