Official Body of the Notariats of the European Union Elected New PresidentThe Austrian notary will be the head of the body of the European Notariat in 2011.
At the General Assembly of the Council of the Notariats of the European Union (CNUE), which took place on the 14th of October in Brussels (Belgium), the vice president of the Austrian Chamber of Notaries Rudolf Kaindl was elected as the president of the organization for 2011, and the president of the German Chamber of Notaries was elected as a vice president of the organization.
The Italian notary Roberto Barone performed duties of CNUE president in 2010.
At the meeting of the General Assembly the Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries was represented by its president, Klaipeda notary Marius Stračkaitis.
The General Assembly discussed issues on cases regarding nationality requirements for notaries, which are examined in the European Court of Justice, acknowledgement and execution of Regulations’ project for jurisdiction, applicable law, judicial decisions and authentic acts related to inheritance, and creation of the European certificate of inheritance, project of the Consumer Rights Directive, Green Book intended for creation of appropriate, stable and safe European pension system, and etc.
