During the forum, held on September 10th in the capital of Estonia, the Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries was represented by the president, the administrator of Klaipeda City 1st Notary Office, the notary Marius Stračkaitis, presidium members – notaries: Rasa Inokaitienė, Daiva Verpetinskienė, Jurga Prižgintienė.
Notaries of Estonia and Latvia were presented with two main news of the legal field, implemented in the area of Lithuania Notariate: amendments of the Law on the Notariate, being approved and which came into effect in spring of 2012, legalized equal principles for rate establishment for services performed by the European notaries and extended the age of notaries’ professional activities up to 70 years of age; as well as a Hypothec reform, which came into effect on July 1st, 2012.
Notaries of the three countries presented family, partnership, property and inheritance regulations applied in each of the country in a separate seminar.
