The minister uses new methods in his work
Minister of Justice Petras Baguska unexpectedly arrived at the seaport yesterday.
The Minister inspected the building of County Court being built and showed interest in notaries‘ work.
Marius Stračkaitis, notary-administrator of the 1st
Notary Office of the City, said that Mr. Baguska unexpectedly visited the office.
“Probably the Minister wanted to observe notaries’ everyday work, to find out whether customers really wait for services in long queues,” he contemplated.
Minister of Justice maintained that he dislikes when people wait for him as well as disfavours long receptions.
“I am doing my work and offices are doing theirs. Times have changed. I will continue travelling across Lithuania without prior notice to those whom I am going to visit,” Mr Baguska stated.
The Minister said that he liked the 1st Notary office:
“This notary office is equipped properly for the convenience of the customers; work is well-organized here. The amount of customers is not great. The customers are met and brought directly to the specialist’s cabinet,” the Minister complimented.
Mr Baguska was pleased with constructive conversation with M. Straskaitis, the head of the notary office. “He manages a collective which knows its work well. The 1st Notary office of Klaipeda City could stand as an example to a great number of notary offices”, the Minister maintained.
M. Stračkaitis is the Vice-president of Lithuanian Notary Chamber; therefore, he had the opportunity to discuss the problems, the majority of which arise in the municipalities of the districts, of all notaries of the country with the Minister.
Mr Baguska was satisfied with the construction of County Court. “The building should be finished this year; the County Court will be provided with excellent work conditions,” he asserted.
