NOTARIES OF LITHUANIA AND AZERBAIJAN AGREE ON CLOSER CO-OPERATION
The Chambers of Notaries of Lithuania and Azerbaijan will cooperate more actively in the fields of education and professional training of notaries. This is provided for in the co-operation agreement, which was signed on August 18, 2022, in Baku. The agreement was signed by Marius Stračkaitis, president of the Chamber of Notaries of Lithuania, and Huseyn Mammadov, president of the Chamber of Notaries of Azerbaijan.
Both countries, in order to strengthen the principles of the Latin notary, agreed to hold legal seminars and international events, bilateral meetings, exchange knowledge about the information technologies in the work of notaries, and organize professional training events. The signing of the agreement was observed by Viktoras Dagilis, Minister Counselor of the Lithuanian Embassy in Azerbaijan.
A similar agreement with the Chamber of Notaries of Azerbaijan was signed in Baku by German Honorary Notary Richard Bock, who represented the German Federal Chamber of Notaries.
During their visit to Azerbaijan on August 16-19, R. Bock and M. Stračkaitis took part in the tripartite conference dedicated to the aspects of the protection of consumer rights in the activities of notaries and notarial ethics. M. Stračkaitis delivered presentations on the protection of consumer rights when transferring real estate in Lithuania and the ethical principles of notaries.
The Chamber of Notaries of Lithuania pays a lot of attention to the reforms of the Latin notary in the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus. In previous years, cooperation agreements between the Chamber of Notaries of Lithuania and the Chambers of Notaries of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan were signed.
