Lithuanian Notaries Attended the Notary Congress in Russia
The delegation of Lithuanian notaries returned from the notary congress which took place in St. Petersburg (Russia). The president of Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries Marius Stračkaitis, Vice-president Daiva Lukaševičiūtė and the members of the presidium Asta Kelienė and Svajonė Šaltauskienė represented Lithuanian notaries in the congress.
“Lithuanian notaries were the first from the Baltic States to be accepted into the International Union of Latin Notaries, and were first to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Latin Notary. Knowing and realizing what an independent notary means to the state citizen, how much of juridical knowledge and advice he can provide and how responsibly, one confirms indisputable contracts for each client, we, representatives of Lithuanian notaries are going to St. Petersburg with respect to congratulate our colleagues, to find out how to benefit yet more the one coming to a notary,” – states the president of the Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries Marius Stračkaitis.
Russian notary congress is being held for the third time, and this time it is dedicated to commemorate”the 15th anniversary of non-budgetary Russian notary”. Notaries and various spheres’ lawyers from Austria, Germany, France, Luxembourg, Poland, Romania, Kazakhstan, Belgium, Hungry, Slovenia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Baltic States, as well as Algeria and Morocco were participating in the Russian notaries’ congress.
Lithuanian notaries together with the Russian colleagues were discussing notaries’ reforms, changes in the organization, and prospective actions in the Russian notary congress. The president of the Russian Federal Chamber of Notaries Nikolajus Kašurinas stated after the congress: “We were discussing the role of notary institutions in the social affairs, economic and law reforms; the importance of notaries’ protected rights and liberties of citizens.”
“For us, notaries from Lithuania, first of all, it was very important to hear not only scholarly reports, but also to understand yet more the expectations of the notary clients; to comprehend the subtlety of the different nations mentality; together with the colleagues from Russia, to find out in what ways we could hearten , help and provide practical knowledge to an ordinary person as well as complex organization”,- stated Marius Stračkaitis, the president of the Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries, after the congress in Russia.
Russian Federal Chamber of Notaries’ and St. Petersburg Chamber of Notaries’ organized congress lasted for three days – May 29-31.
