A Newly Elected Officer to Fill an Important Post of the European Notariats
notarurumai.lt. On the 20th of November, 2015 the new Secretary General was elected in a general assembly of the Council of the Notariats of the European Union (CNUE) which took place in Brussels.
The elected candidate, Raul Radoi, is a current coordinator of the European Notarial Network and the representative to Brussels of the Romanian Notariat.
The CNUE Secretary General is an important administrative position. Secretary General is responsible for the organisation and coordination of the CNUE office in Brusells, as well as for the administration of positions of different member states and the coordination of CNUE events.
The election was organized due to resignation of the previous CNUE Secretary General, Clarisse Martin who has been leading the CNUE office for 22 years. Several dozen applications were received throughout the period of the contest for the position. Initially, the government of CNUE invited 10 candidates for an interview. Following the interview, which took place on the 13th of October, 2015 five candidates were elected. All five candidates introduced themselves at the meeting of the General Assembly. R. Radoi was elected after a secret voting on the second tour of the election. He won with a one-vote advantage over another candidate for the position - the Austrian notary Stephan Matyk. The assembly, that was led by the president of CNUE Jean Tarrade, was attended by the president of the Lithuanian Chamber of Notaries Marius Strackaitis.
