A new president of the EU Notary’s Institutions Council was elected by a notary of the Lithuania as well
A notary of the Lithuania is an equal in rights and value member of the European Union. The Notarial Body of the Lithuania is a member of the International Conference of the Notarial Bodies of the European Union (Conférence des Notariats de l‘Union Européenne – CNUE). 1st May 2004, when the Lithuanian Republic joined to the European Union, the Notary Chamber of the Lithuania became a member of the International Conference of the Notarial Bodies of the European Union . The residence of the organization is located in Brussels. This is non-profit association.
What is a notary? What is his role? What services can he do to citizens and enterprises of EU states? These are the basic questions the CNUE wants to give an answer to. This organization analyses constantly needs and expectations of citizens and enterprises, attempts to describe really priorities of their activity seeking to create a jural Europe and secures to its citizens and enterprises a lawful defence.
Vice-president of the Notary Chamber of the Lithuania Marius Strachkaitis has participated in the General Assembly of the CNUE in Brussels where with all the notaries of the Lithuania together with other representatives of notarial bodies of the member states he elected new leaders of the CNUE.
In 2008, a representative of the Notary Chamber of Spain Juan Bolas Alfonso will head the CNUE organization as a new president. A representative of the Notary Chamber of France Bernard Reynis was elected vice-president of the CNUE. According to the CNUE Charter, as a second vice-president will also automatically a CNUE president that has completed his cadence, in this case that is the representative of the Notary Chamber of Austria presided in CNUE in this year Klaus Woschnak.
According to the CNUE Charter, representatives of all the members notarial bodies prepare themself to be presidents by turn.
The CNUE creates an united network of the notarial bodies of the European Union, gets ready international agreements and informs the society of all the EU states about the European right. Founded in 1993, the organization presents the notaries of the Europe in institutions of the European Union.
CNUE includes ten old members – Germany, Austria, Belgium, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands and Portugal and eleven new members – Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Slovenia and since January Rumania and Bulgaria as well (total 21 members), i.e. notarial bodies of those members states of EU which act according to the principles of the International Union of Latin Notaries.
