His candidacy for the post of the president of the Lithuanian Notary Chamber for the second term of office was supported by absolute majority of notaries during a general meeting of members of the Lithuanian Notary Chamber which was held on Saturday (the 2nd of April) (230 votes for and 3 votes against).
Daiva Lukaseviciute-Binkuliene, a notary public from Vilnius, was reelected as a vice-president of the Lithuanian Notary Chamber for the second term of office.
Presidium of renewed composition was also confirmed. Public notaries earlier elected in five notarial districts – one in each of Klaipeda, Kaunas, Siauliai and Panevezys districts and two – in Vilnius district – went into the presidium. The following notaries will represent their districts for the second term of office: Jurga Prizgintiene, a notary public from Klaipeda, Rasa Ona Inokaitiene, a notary public from Kaunas, Daiva Verpetinskiene, a notary public from Siauliai, Svajone Saltauskiene, a notary public from Vilnius. Virginija Pupkiene, a notary public from Panevezys who last decade was also working as a member of the presidium was elected into the presidium in Panevezys district. Dainius Palaima, a notary public from the capital, was elected into Vilnius district presidium as a second member.
“It’s a big honour and responsibility to feel unanimous support of the whole notaries’ organization. During the next three years we’ll strengthen the Lithuanian Notary Chamber, the biggest attention shall be paid to improvement of quality of services provided to our clients and to creation of electronic notary service, - M. Stračkaitis said.
